Overview:

MSD&S ENGINEERING CONSULTANT is looking for a motivated and skilled Sr. Civil & Structural Engineer with relevant experience to join our Architect design department. You will be working with our team of senior engineers, EIT’s, technologists, CAD designers and project managers who focus on delivering high quality and challenging structural design projects.

You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other disciplines such as civil engineers, electrical engineers, and mechanical engineers on larger projects. Under the general direction of the Construction Manager, Structural engineers design, plan and oversee the construction of new buildings and, or alterations and extensions to existing properties or other structures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proficient in the use if structural design programs such as ETABS, SAFE, PROKON, SAP, STAAD PRO, etc. including AutoCAD and Revit, etc.

• Able to model and analyze structures.

• Good experience in large scale projects such as towers/high rise buildings, commercial, etc.

• Experienced in site supervision works for commercial, residential, industrial, educational and governmental buildings.

• Able to ensure that all civil/structural works are in compliance with the approved contract documents and specifications.

• Ability to review shop drawings & check material submittals and comment to resolve any discrepancy and error noted.

• MMUP / UPDA (Required)

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University.

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred

• With min. 10 + years direct and relevant experience related to Civil and Structural Engineering works in Projects & maintenance.

• Must have experience in Concrete and Steel.

• Expert experience in project management.

• Excellent communication and IT skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Must possess a Driver’s License.
